Ahh the original Trey, not the flat faced, piano playing stand in they've been playing with since they got back together.
side guitarist solo is Super. Tripping.😍
GOAT Moma, not even close. Also some of Trey's just absolute finest hendrix level expressive cathartic rips. MONEY.
Awesome cover! And I like the drummer's dress.
This is all I listened to in college and I still love Phish. It takes me back on days when I'm feeling old ❤
I never see Rodney on best drummer lists, which is ironic as he may just be the greatest living drummer.
1000% agreed
Saw this in KC… a day at the zoo..Rest well brothers ✊🏼
So good... I might have been there.
This was the show I attended just before going off to Goddard College myself.
9:35 to the end is my favorite. classic 2.0 greatness
That backdrop was made by Tie-dye Paul in an all-night session when he and his wife had The Gothic to themselves. Gorgeous piece.
Watching this at 1.25 speed 😲
Vince’s keyboards sounded so bad. Like a toy. I sure missed Brent. Sad thing was Vince didn’t get to pick his sound.
Reminds me of Mitch Mitchell playing with Hendrix!
When Doug was yelling “Toad…….TOAD!!!!!!!!!” and Toad was nowhere to be found, I always imagine Toad was off in the woods getting rid of some of that chicken, and was running back to the water as fast as he could trying to get his britches back up.
This one is pretty good too but I think these two greatest "the curtain with " solos stand the test of time ! Live in Vegas 2000 ( Uploaded by Justin e. ) Wachovia Center 2009 ( Uploaded by Tyler Penn )
Please i used to go steive kimocn band so many years ago. Please come to Japan again.😆✨⚡
This Is fantastic
Best version ever
How is this show not in the pantheon? Or is it?
Keyboards are rocking !
Great memories of listening to Edgar Winter Group's Frankenstein on the high school lunchroom jukebox in '73!
I was there both nights Awesome shows
This IS "the" china/rider of 1990 folks. Feast your ears on the cream of the crop for a memorable year in GD history. This is the best of the year far and away
Steve’s playing is exquisite. Incredible phrasing, note choice, and groove. Love this guy -
Gnarly jams brought to you by OxyContin
The Oxy Dance
That cheap unaccurate spring fish weigh scale.😅
Sweet
great rock'n roll
I was right in the front for this show, I'll never forget it.
The drummer is incredible holy shit
The sound, energy, and creativity of the jam that gets cut off at 43min is why I will always love this band.
My God! Greatest of Gifts.!
The One
Ty
The thing that Trey does. You know the spot.
In-Fisherman,you guys weren't afraid to step outside the norm, when it came to fishing shows, hated having to watch all the commercials for the bass fisherman, you guys, definitely helped so many other type fishermen...Great stuff guys....
Everything in the universe came together at this moment
I have a horrible memory but remember this like it was yesterday
Jon's time suspensions in this jam ( 7:35 - 9:14 8:19 hold on tight) ......... so wonderfully warped flow never goes away
through continuous repetition of these little funky jamming bits attached together ,each time they play it you can wind up with a completely different version .They eventually just keep getting better and better at these bits .This is tight !
i think thats why this Moma is so incredible. Moma is a naturally pretty repetitive song even when it was still Black Eyed Katy. but with this version, the first time listener might expect your everyday average moma dance but this completely blows it out of the water exactly how you said, with that funky dirty 2.0 energy building!!! I❤️🐟
The songs are just bits ,like little funky jamming bits they attach together and make a song with ! I love theses bits !
I can remember walking around outside the gate that Thursday night after getting settled in. This is great cause at the time we would’ve loved to hear all the banter in between. 15:14 nice Instrumental version of Argent’s “Hold your Head Up”
Stand on your head kind of stuff
Best ever.
Fishman lives in the pocket. The pocket king, a pocket connoisseur. Beaming love beams at everyone.
Fantastic recording - it’s a great mix of board and a little hot mic really well mixed.
Thank you, love this version.
LOVE❤️⚡️💙thank you Brent💫💫💫and Boys🌟!!!⭐️
Got dayum
Man, I remember hearing this song for the first time, and going “how is he even playing that drum beat?!?” This video definitely helped to figure it out, but then it made ask “wait, how the heck is he even playing that beat AND singing backing vocals?!?” Jon Fishman is so damned good.
